Deutsche Telekom plans call center closures

Deutsche Telekom confirmed that it's considering closing some call-centers, a spokesman, quoted by a Dow Jones report, said.

Reports earlier said the incumbent German telecom operator plans to close every second call centers because call centers with 400 to 900 employees are cost-efficient.

The Deutsche Telekom spokesman said the company will unveil its call center plans next week but added every affected employee would be offered a replacement position, according to the Dow Jones report.
