UAE operator du expects to restore normal service to its fixed internet customers today, after being hit by bandwidth problems yesterday.
The operator rerouted traffic and boosted capacity in a bid to offset the problem, caused by faults on submarine cables. Despite the action, du still warned customers to expect slow connections and high latency during peak times.
Cable operators reported “faults affecting internet bandwidth and repair activity is currently underway,” a du statement explains.
