Eckoh merges client IVR unit with Telecom Express

Speech recognition technology developer Eckoh has merged its client IVR division with Telecom Express.
Eckoh said a persistent downward trend in the IVR market, as well as intense price competition, has forced Eckoh to consolidate in an effort to ensure sustainable profitability.
Under the terms of the deal, Eckoh has taken a 27.5% share in the enlarged Telecom Express. All 17 employees working at the IVR unit have meanwhile been transferred to the converged company.
Eckoh added that it expects the merger to be seamless for existing clients.
