EE takes on BT mobile services

BT is preparing to hand control of its mobile services for business and private customers to EE, the UK joint venture between Orange and T-Mobile.

A multi-year deal is in the works that will see EE replace Vodafone as provider of mobile services for BT’s business users, which comprise large corporations, public sector bodies, and small to medium enterprises.

The contract also covers BT’s 88,000 employees, and a consumer service that will build on the telco’s current Wi-Fi strategy.
