Finland' Elisa Oyj regsitered a net profit of 30 million euros in the first quarter, down from 33 million euros in the same period a year ago, a Dow Jones report said.
The group's earnings per share amounted to 0.18 euro, lower than the 0.23 euro posted a year ago, the report also said.
Elisa said revenues rose 5% to 192 million euros from 179 million euros in the year-earlier period.
Revenue in the mobile communication business increased by 7% and in the fixed network business by 11%.
In the mobile communication business, Elisa said revenue was positively affected by the additional traffic generated by Saunalahti, according to the report.
