Emergency comms response kit

(Satellite News via NewsEdge) Telenor Satellite Services has unveiled its mobile satellite emergency communications response kit, which is designed to allow emergency responders, government agencies and humanitarian relief organizations to establish essential communications during emergencies.

The 28-pound kit provides voice, data and Internet communications when local infrastructure is damaged or destroyed.

The kit includes a Hughes broadband global area network (BGAN) terminal, a foldable solar panel, VoIP and adapter, as well as an accessory kit with current adapters.
