Comptel has enhanced its roaming management solution to support near real-time roaming data exchange (NRTRDE), helping mobile service providers combat roaming fraud.
NRTRDE is an industry standard for the exchange of information about calls being made by subscribers on networks other than their home network, typically abroad.
The NRTRDE standard is designed to close the time-window in which roaming fraud can occur undetected.
The solution now provides an efficient system to monitor subscribers' activity in both home and visited networks, in near real-time.
For the visited network, the solution enables the submission of information to the home service provider responsible for the subscriber.
For the home network, it enables the analysis of usage data received from visited networks and raising the alarm of unauthorized network usage.
