Ericsson extends Taiwanese mobile broadband

Ericsson has signed a deal to expand Far EasTone Telecommunication's mobile broadband services network in Taiwan, an Associated Press report said.

No financial details were disclosed but Ericsson said the contract will give Far EasTone the highest High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) mobile broadband services penetration in Taiwan.

The deal will also expand the operator's transmission network capacity and mobile positioning service solutions. Network deployment and integration are underway, according to the report.
