The report said Ericsson expected the core network to be completed by the end of June.
The new 3G network would enable Vodafone Czech Republic to introduce a range of new multimedia services, Ericsson, quoted by Dow Jones, said.
Ericsson's Mobile Softswitch would bring about these services cost-efficiently and in a shorter time, the company said.
In addition, by implementing Mobile Softswitch into its network, Vodafone Czech Republic would be taking the first step to an all-IP network, Ericsson said.
