Free Mobile takes legal action against SFR over phone subsidies

Free Mobile owner Iliad filed a complaint against Vivendi's SFR with the Commercial Court of Paris for unfair competition. Iliad claims that subsidising handsets allows low-cost offers to be made by mobile operators in exchange for a subscription commitment of 12 or 24 months.
