French 4G subs to break a million this year

French mobile operators Orange, SFR, and Bouygues Telecom will help push LTE subscriber numbers in the country to 1.3 million by the year-end, Pyramid Research predicts.
All three carriers are set to launch commercial services this year, a move the research firm believes will signal the start of steady growth in 4G subscribers in the country.
Pyramid forecasts that growth will take total LTE user numbers in France to 8.1 million in 2017.
