French sat firm rebrands

France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications (FTMSC) has rebranded itself Vizada, marking a new beginning as an autonomous provider on the mobile satellite communications market.

The former FTMSC was acquired by funds managed by Apax Partners in October 2006.

Vizada markets and develops mobile satellite communications solutions for customers based in areas with limited terrestrial telecom infrastructure. It reaches these customers through eight sales and representation offices worldwide and a network of around 200 international distributors. Vizada's strategy centers on developing partnerships with these distributors.
