Global Crossing expands hosted services

Global Crossing has widened the scope of services offered from its Dockland data centre in London by launching hosted managed services such as monitoring, back-up, security, server management and storage solutions.

It has plans to expand its London facility and open a new data centre in Amsterdam. So far Global Crossing has sold 89% of its space at the Docklands facility and has orders for 10% of the racks that are to be added in the expansion.

The Amsterdam facility will open early in 2009.
