Google having second thoughts about Yahoo deal‾

There are rumours that Google may be about to scrap its proposed ad deal with Yahoo, announced in June as Yahoo struggled to fend off hostile take-over attempts by Microsoft. It seems that Google is not willing to accept anti-trust restrictions (the two combined have more than 80% of the US online advertising market) on the would-be partnership, according to Reuters.

The report cites people close to the action who claim Yahoo still wants the deal to go ahead.

It is also speculated that Google doesn't like Yahoo being in talks with Time Warner about buying the content and advertising operations of its AOL unit.
