Google and Nike are teaming up to create an online arena for football lovers, an AFP report said.
The report said the two companies recently launched the Web site www.joga.com, which was designed as "an online community for people crazy about football."
The name of the site was derived from the Portuguese "joga bonito," or "play beautiful," the report, quoting Google, said.
While the Web site was already operating, a notice indicated that access was "by invitation only" for the time being, the report said.
Google expected to have joga.com opened to the public "in the coming days," the report further said.
