GSA: LTE passed 1B subscriptions milestone in Q4

The Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) confirmed that the number of LTE subscriptions worldwide exceeded the 1 billion mark in the final quarter of 2015. Citing figures from Ovum, the association said the total number of LTE and LTE Advanced subscriptions stood at 1.068 billion worldwide by the end of the year. LTE is now responsible for one in seven mobile connections worldwide. A total of 552.2 million LTE subscriptions worldwide were gained during the past year, representing 107 per cent annual growth.
