Progress Software has released the Progress DataXtend Semantic Integrator 8.3, which enables communication service providers to more effectively synchronize their disparate and distributed data with the new change data capture (CDC) functionality.
This means they can now determine when data has changed in a database.
The company says DataXtend SI 8.3 features new capabilities to mediate the flow of data between databases using the common model in the same way that it mediates between services.
Deployed within an organization's enterprise service bus, DataXtend provides non-intrusive change data capture at the data source and applies identified changes to target databases in the appropriate formats, synchronized with the master data.
