Indian carrier extends services and management deal with Nokia

Nokia had strengthened its managed services agreement with Indian operator Hutchison Essar, a company statement said.

According to the statement, the contract, which extended a five-year managed services agreement announced in January, meant that Nokia would continue to supply managed services and GSM network equipment in 19 of Hutchison Essar's 23 circles.

Nokia would provide a range of solutions from its business solutions portfolio, including network operations, configuration and optimization of both its own equipment and equipment from other vendors, as well as maintenance, the company said.

No financial details of the deal expansion were disclosed.
