Indian carrier to land cable in Cyprus

Reliance Globalcom, the undersea cable unit of Indian mobile operator Reliance Communications, will land its next generation cable at a station in Cyprus, a Reuters report said.

PrimeTel, a provider of Internet, fixed line and TV services, is building the submarine landing station at Yeroskipos, Cyprus.In a stement, Reliance Globalcom said, 'It will help Cyprus to establish itself as a country for new emerging services facilitated by the increased international capacity, alternative routing and lower prices'.
