Inmarsat passes key BGAN milestone

Inmarsat recently announced that its Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) service now has more than 10,000 subscribers, which means that BGAN is Inmarsat's fastest growing service over its first year of introduction.

The service, which has been deployed in more than 175 countries, is used by international broadcasters, aid agencies, leading oil and gas companies, government agencies, and by users who need reliable voice and data connectivity beyond the reach of terrestrial networks.
