Simyo, the SIM-only offering from Dutch operator KPN, will launch an MVNO in France this weekend using Bouygues Telecom's network, Telecompaper reports.
The Dutch telco said this latest Simyo launch is the next step in its European campaign.
Simyo was first introduced in Germany in mid-2005 by KPN's E-Plus unit there, followed by the Netherlands and Belgium, then Spain in January 2008 through an MVNO deal with Orange.
In its announcement KPN said Simyo will be available in France through online distribution channels only, priced at €0.19 per minute at all times to fixed and mobile numbers.
Telecompaper also said that KPN stated it has more initiatives for France this year, through both its own brand and deals with other providers.
