LG orders Bluetooth testers from Rohde & Schwarz

Korea's LG Electronics has ordered about 150 Bluetooth testers from Munich-based Rohde & Schwarz, which it intends to use in the production of its Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones.

According to Rohde & Schwarz, it chose the R&S CBT32 due to its high measurement speed. Also, if necessary, to generate and analyze audio signals, the Bluetooth testers can be retrofitted with the R&S CBT B41 option.

LG uses Rohde & Schwarz test and measurement equipment for EDR-specific parameter tests. The EDR test specification stipulates four new transmitter and four new receiver tests. Rohde & Schwarz's CBTgo software offers 18 of the test cases that the standard requires.
