Messaging industry must adopt SLAs

Mobile messaging operator TynTec claims that the lack of service level agreements (SLAs) for SMS is hampering the growth of text messaging as a business tool. According to TynTec the use of SMS in businesses has been stifled by its perceived unreliability and the inability of service providers to provide traceability, security or delivery guarantees. If the enterprise mobile messaging community as a whole introduced SMS SLAs it would enable businesses to quickly benchmark services and make informed decisions when choosing suppliers.
