The growth of mobile and the introduction of the Amazon Seller App for mobile devices helped drive sales by Amazon Sellers to 2 billion items in 2014, with third-party sellers now amounting to 2 million and accounting for over 40 per cent of the total units sold on Amazon. "Sellers are constantly telling us they value the flexibility of managing their businesses on-the-go from their tablets and mobile devices," said Peter Faricy, VP for Amazon Marketplace. The online retail giant added that more than 25 per cent of "Login and Pay with Amazon" payments were made using a mobile device.
