Mobile broadband evolution

The continued development of the GSM family of technologies is designed to ensure that the mobile industry can continue to meet this fast-growing demand for secure, always-available and easy-to-use broadband services.
 
This paper outlines the roadmap for the GSM family of technologies to ‘Long-Term Evolution’ (LTE). It highlights the flexibility of the mobile broadband evolution, allowing each mobile operator around the world to deploy what they need, when they need it and in response to their own local market conditions.
