MonsterMob finalizes new acquisition in China

UK-based mobile technology developer MonsterMob has completed the acquisition of Chinese firm W-Infinity Communication for $81.5 million.

In a statement, the company said the deal marked MonsterMob's third Chinese acquisition in the past year, following closely on the heels of its September 2005 deal for ATOP Century for $42 million and its January deal for M Dream Inworld for $35 million.

With trials for China's new 3G standard, TD-SCDMA, set to begin soon, MonsterMob's recent moves enhanced the company's ability to meet new mobile content demands such as video-on-demand, ring tones and graphics, the company said.
