Indian operator MTNL has implemented billing, revenue management, core network and session control suites from Elitecore Technologies.
The operator has used Elitecore's CRESTEL and EliteAAA suites to roll out prepaid broadband services, and intends to deploy on-demand VAS services such as instant bandwidth upgrades, IPTV and VoIP.
“In a predominantly pre-paid market the only way to increase broadband subscribers is offering prepaid service plans, making broadband available to masses,” MTNL COO Nikhil Jain said.
“Elitecore has leveraged existing Wireline infrastructure to roll out prepaid broadband service, thus meeting MTNL’s objective of time to market and cost.”
