New services fuel billing evolution

With fundamental industry changes being driven by increasing demand for pervasive, individualized services, major changes are also required in billing systems.

A recent TM Forum report reveals the emergence of new services that operate independently of transport method, end-user device or location, and provide customized services directly to the end-user.

These services typically involve anywhere-anytime interaction with others, consumption of content, access to the Internet, and the use of personal device applications.

Delivery of these services requires automated billing processes that operate in near-real-time, as well as billing systems that support converged services through unified billing data.
