Berg Insight predicts mobile money subscribers in emerging markets will hit $709 million (€498 million) in 2015, up from $133 million in 2010. The value of transactions is tipped to hit $215 billion in 2015, when Asia Pacific will become the largest market.
Global server shipments grew 8.5% in 1Q11, fuelling a 17.3% rise in revenues to $12.6 billion, Gartner figures show. Eastern Europe grew the most, with shipments up 21.1% year-on-year.
