Online videos are big business in Spain, with 82% of the country’s online population watching three billion videos in March, ComScore research reveals.
 
Nujira, a UK firm focused on cutting the power consumption of smartphone transmitters, will use an additional £10 million (€11.3 million) in funding to drive product development. The latest funding round was led by Climate Change Capital Private Equity, with backing from existing investors.
 
Mobile software developer SPB claims to have launched the most powerful wallet application for the Android operating system. The service secures PINs, passwords, accounts, passport and credit card numbers with a 256-bit AES encryption, and automatically locks down if the app is left running.
 
Nokia Siemens claims Zain Kuwait is the first operator in the Middle East to deploy its customer experience management software. The vendor has provided Zain with live network monitoring reporting and analytics tools.
