France Telecom is backing five of eleven projects in a new EC web development strategy, along with 15 major ICT firms including Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson and Nokia Siemens. The EC on Tuesday outlined a €600 million public-private partnership to spur Internet development in the region.
 
Nokia Siemens has wasted no time in offering its first products to former Motorola Solutions customers, tweaking a base station controller to work with Motorola GSM kit less than a week after completing a $975 million (€657 million) acquisition of the vendor.
