US carrier Sprint Nextel has announced  it will offer a tri-mode CDMA/WiFi/Wimax handset, and said it may launch its Wimax network in more markets than previously disclosed over the next two years.

Nokia has announced  a new handset - the N6730 classic – which features navigation capabilities and internet, mobile music and email clients. A Vodafone exclusive, the handset will launch in June.

Dell is aiming  to top the Asian PC market by 2012. The company is currently the world's second-largest PC manufacturer.

Microsoft has removed the three concurrent application restriction on the Starter edition of Windows 7, which has been designed with netbooks in mind.
