NEWS IN BRIEF: TTSL, XL Telecom, Fujitsu

TTSL has contracted Ceragon Networks to supply its Wimax backhaul FibreAir solutions to the Indian operator.  Ceragon's systems will enable TTSL to upgrade its wireless backhaul capacity to reach 500Mbps per radio channel.

XL Telecom has doubled its net profit for the company's second quarter. The equipment vendor earned $31.69 million over the quarter, up from $27 million over the same period last year. Net sales reached $54 million.

Fujitsu has announced it intends to buy out Siemens's 50% stake in Fujitsu Siemens Computers. Fujitsu will pay around 450 million euros ($585 million) for the stake. Subject to government approval, the deal will take place on April 1 next year.
