Nokia, NSN sign license pact with Huawei

Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks signed a patent license agreement with Huawei and its affiliates for standards essential patents.

The comprehensive agreement covers the worldwide use of all standards essential patents of all parties, including GSM, W-CDMA, cdma2000, optical networking, datacom and WiMax in mobile devices, infrastructure and services.

'We are very pleased to have entered into this agreement with Huawei' said Ilkka Rahnasto, VP, Intellectual Property Rights at Nokia.

Song Liuping, VP and chief legal officer, Huawei, said 'it underscores our commitment to create a harmonious environment for the benefit and development of the telecom industry.'
