Nokia secures deal to expand Taiwan Mobile 3G network

Nokia has expanded its exclusive framework contract for a W-CDMA 3G network with Taiwan Mobile, according to a Nordic Business report.

 

The report said the new agreement extended the existing deal to also cover the supply of Nokia's HSDPA solution and new Flexi W-CDMA base stations.

 

Nokia would provide a circuit core network expansion, expand Taiwan Mobile's radio network with 3,000 base stations, and upgrade the network software with HSDPA, the report said.

 

No financial details were disclosed.
