NSN acquires Apertio

Nokia Siemens Networks has completed its acquisition of Apertio for 140 million euros ($203.3 million).

According to the company, the purchase of Apertio allows it to build on its strong position in the converged core, adding Apertio's market-leading products and services to strengthen its position in subscriber-centric networks.

Apertio provides a strategic platform in the next-generation architecture for Nokia Siemens Networks' portfolio, strengthening its ability to help customers simplify their networks and manage their key asset - subscriber data.

Apertio will now form a new business line, headed by Apertio CEO Paul Magelli, within Nokia Siemens Networks' Converged Core business unit.
