O2 eyes July launch of iPhone 3G in UK, Ireland

O2 is to launch the iPhone 3G in the UK and Ireland in July, the company in statement, said.

The iPhone 3G is the next generation of Apple's touch-screen smartphone.
The handset offers 3G networking that is twice as fast as the original iPhone along with built-in GPS for expanded location-based mobile services and iPhone 2.0 software.

iPhone 3G will be available in the UK through O2 and Carphone Warehouse. In Ireland, iPhone will be available through O2's retail channels.
