Omantel extends bill payment options

Mobile carrier Omantel is expanding its billing systems to enable subscribers to clear their account via debit or credit card payment at a payment machine.
The option is available to Omantel’s fixed, mobile and internet customers, who use their phone number or a barcode reader to link to their account. The service is backed by the Oman Arab Bank and Central Bank of Oman.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Shekaili, billing and operation support manager at Omantel’s consumer business unit, says the service highlights the firm’s commitment to enhancing customer experience, granting them “the flexibility to pay their bills at any time of the day, without the need to use cash.”
