Openet teams with Huawei

Huawei is gaining global recognition for a mobile broadband technology development lab, after signing up Republic of Ireland-based transaction management software developer Openet to the scheme.

The pair has signed a memorandum of understanding covering development of new business models and mobile broadband network resource optimization.

Openet plans to submit its policy and charging control products to Huawei’s mLAB to develop the new models – a move Apollo Guy, the firm’s global vice president of alliances, says will result in innovative new approaches to mobile broadband services.
