Telecom Italia has chosen Orga Systems' convergent, real-time billing platform, OPSC Gold, to power MVNOs and enable multi service provider support.
Since 1996 more than 30 million TIM prepaid subscribers have been rated and charged by Orga Systems' billing system. The companies say that now TIM has expanded the partnership to exploit the MVNO sector, which it sees as a growing market opportunity.
Orga says all billing processes are managed within this one system - from wholesale to retail billing; and billing for prepaid, post-paid and convergent subscribers.
