Ovum: Operators need new approach to data profits

Operators should adopt a smarter approach to managing their networks and data tariffs if they are to increase profits, manage costs and gain customer loyalty, according to a new report from research firm Ovum. The company believes that operators need to use subscriber BSS data in association with their network policy management to help improve critical aspects of the business such as managing traffic loads, personalising customers' experiences, improving response times--and boosting profits.
