Placement gaffe costs Telstra its porn

Campaigners have forced Australian operator Telstra to drop porn from its Big Pond web service, after the firm positioned links to the films next to pro-feminist articles.

Anti-porn activists began pressuring the carrier to drop the content from its site following the gaffe in late February.

Telstra chief executive David Thodey agreed to the demands in April, despite noting the programs' content is far tamer than alternatives available via the internet.
