Rapidly changing business models are a real OSS/BSS dilemma

Convergence of communications technology (mobile, broadband, video, and data) combined with a rising number of content sources (media, entertainment and advertising) is creating new business opportunity for both suppliers and service providers. Most importantly, bringing these sources together is creating an amazing variety of service options and customer (consumers and business) choices.

On the surface, today’s new service opportunities are delivering a richer customer experience, however, in a majority of global markets there is significant turmoil “behind the scenes” as incumbent Communications Service Providers (CSPs) work to satisfy existing customer needs while also fighting with competitive forces to bring new service strategies to market.
