S. Korea's Samsung claims 'fastest' HSDPA phone

Samsung has developed what it claims is the world's fastest mobile phone incorporating HSDPA technology, an Asia Pulse report said.

The phone, equipped with the MSM6280 chip from Qualcomm, enables users to download music or other multimedia contents at a speed of 3.6 Mbps, the report said.

'Samsung Electronics will lead the next-generation telecommunications technology in the field of HSDPA,' Lee Ki-tae, president of the company's mobile phone division, was quoted as saying.
