Seven out of ten iPhone developers to launch Android apps

Seven out of 10 iPhone developers will launch Android apps within the next six months, according to research by mobile ad network AdMob.

It also found that 10 per cent of UK mobile ad traffic is generated by Google Android users. Thomas Schulz, EMEA MD of AdMob, said, "Our metrics show Android already accounts for 10 per cent of smartphone ad requests in the UK."

He also noted that devices using the Android operating system rank third and fourth as the most popular devices on AdMob's network.
