Siemens joins Bridge Mobile Alliance

Siemens has joined Bridge Mobile Alliance, the Asia Pacific region's largest mobile alliance group.

In a statement, the group said Siemens was joining the alliance's Associate Membership scheme, which aimed to foster closer collaboration between member-operators and technology players across the mobile service development value chain to develop Asia-centric regional mobile services.

The Associate Membership scheme, since its launch in August 2005, has attracted numerous key global technology players, including Axalto, Ericsson, Gemplus, Hewlett Packard, LogicaCMG, Motorola, Nokia, QUALCOMM and ZTE.

With the addition of Siemens, the total alliance membership base including its member-operators is now 18, according to the group.
