Sleep texting phenomenon growing

Some teenagers are so addicted to text messaging they're even doing it while they sleep.

Experts claim the phenomenon of sleep texting is on the rise for two reasons. First, the process of composing and sending messages is becoming engrained in user's brains; and second, a generation is emerging that has grown up with mobile phones, which effectively makes the device an extension of their body.

While some texts sent by sleeping subscribers make perfect sense, the majority tend to be garbled nonsense - or at least, that's what you should tell your boss if you send a derogatory text after a night in the pub.
