Spanish broadband grows 15.8% in July

The number of Spanish broadband internet subscribers grew by 15.8% in July, compared to the previous month, arriving to a total of 8.692 million lines, according to the latest data from sector regulator CMT.

The ADSL segment increased by more than 46,000 to 6.92 million lines, while modem connections dropped 2,130 to 1.723 million.

Telefonica captured 76% of the clients in the quarter ending in July, while alternative operators took 13.7% and cable 10%.
