Study: Rise of BYOD causing device management angst for CIOs

The fast-growing rise of "bring-your-own-device" (BYOD) has made mobile device management (MDM) a key topic for CIOs. The ability to secure and manage enterprise data, according to a new study from Ovum, needs to be balanced by the innovation and productivity that employees gain from using their own smartphones. According tot he study, vendors from a variety of backgrounds across the IT and telecoms market are looking to grab clients in this area as it becomes a gateway to a larger enterprise managed mobility industry.
