IDG news service reports Symbian's growth continues to slow, despite a 5% year on year increase in the number of handsets being shipped with the operating system.
In the first quarter, Symbian's annual growth rate was 16.5%, and last year it grew even faster.
The smartphone market as a whole continued to grow at 16% year on year during the second quarter, according to Gartner.
